Buco was a famous leather jacket manufacturer founded in 1933 as the ‘Joseph Buegeleisen Co’, and were one of the first producers specialising in motorcycle accessories and bags. A few years later they developed their full apparel line promising “Motorcycle jackets, gloves, caps, belts & bags all cut and sewn by lifelong craftsmen to the task at hand”.
Manufacturing was maintained entirely at an in-house factory, allowing the brand to produce the highest quality leather jackets available on the market at the time. The horsehide rider’s jackets produced during 1940s-50s are considered their iconic pieces. The Real McCoy’s have acquired the licence to produce the brand and do so with due diligence and expertise in Japan.
The Buco Checkered Corduroy Jacket is made in Japan from 100% cotton corduroy and is similar in design to those sported by the Future Farmers of America (FFA) in the 1930’s. It features a snap button closure, side cinches, jetted pockets and ring & chain pull zip on the single chest pocket.
